A bit late for #Caturday #CatsOfMastodon but here is #Roy mauling his yellow tuna, and later, my hand. Yes he got a pinch of #catnip but he's been trying to dismember that fish from the day he saw it. Then Roy saying "What!?" before continuing his assault. Later I sacrificed my bare hand, but he really likes playing that way. Yes I use disinfectant after. His bite and claw control isn't nearly as precise when he's buzzed but it's all in good fun. Next time might use leather gardening gloves 😂

Just a note of caution to hikers using catnip oil to deter mosquitoes and ticks: the primary active ingredient, nepetalactone, attracts cats, including mountain lions.
